Con­stan­ti­jn Huy­gens II was a Dutch states­man and poet, most­ly known for his work on sci­en­tif­ic instru­ments. Addi­tion­al­ly, he was an ama­teur draughts­man of land­scapes. Huy­gens was an art con­nois­seur and advised set­ting up the gallery in Kens­ing­ton Palace. (Source Wikipedia)
